Taylor Swift buys popular Tullamore pub and moves in upstairs

American singing superstar Taylor Swift has bought a popular pub in Tullamore in Co. Offaly and her staff have already been seen moving her stuff in upstairs.

Fergie’s in Market Square was put up for sale just recently and Swift told reporters during a press conference in New York this morning why she bought the premises.

“I’ve always wanted to own a pub in the middle of Ireland and now I do. I intend to be a hands on owner and work behind the bar, as well as sing in the pub at weekends. I can also confirm that Fergie’s will be renamed Swifties.”

The billionaire singer has already hired local architect Henry Jockins to redesign the upstairs function room into a luxury apartment. She also said another reason why she chose Fergie’s is the view.

“I’ve lived in Manhattan overlooking Central Park and my home in Beverly Hills has an amazing view of the Hollywood Sign on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other but nothing compares to Market Square in Tullamore. It’s just stunning. From the back of Galvin’s menswear down to Macari’s take-away, there’s nowhere more beautiful on God’s earth.”

Swift is renowned for her love of shopping and her taste in expensive designer clothes and said she can’t wait to hit her favourite shopping centre in the whole world, Tullamore’s famous Bridge Centre.

“Nothing on Fifth Avenue comes close to the Bridge Centre. Macy’s and Saks are okay I guess but honestly, I cannot wait to see the new Spring collection in Dunnes Stores.”

Taylor Swift is due to collect the keys to Fergie’s next week.
