Palestinians call for ceasefire in Dublin

The Palestinian authority in the West Bank has called for an immediate ceasefire in Dublin.

President Mahmoud Abbas said the scenes broadcast to the world last night should be a wake-up call to world leaders to take urgent action before another double-decker bus goes up in smoke.

“I call on all nations to join me in condemning the violence in Dublin and to demand an immediate ceasefire. Or at least a pause in fighting to allow humanitarian aid into Dublin. I’ve never been but I’m told it’s a terrible place.”

The Dublin rioters have this afternoon responded to the ceasefire calls and issued a statement, explaining that before hostilities can end, there’s another Foot Locker on Grafton Street they still have to loot and then they will have made their point. We’ll bring you more on this breaking news as it happens.
