Fires, destruction and devastation across Europe as WhatsApp goes down for an hour

Popular messaging service WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook’s Meta, went down just before 9.30pm last night, sending its 2 billion users into a frenzied panic.

Within minutes people began throwing themselves off bridges and tall buildings. There were also reports of widespread riots and looting.

Religious leaders worldwide issued statements saying they believed judgement day was finally upon us and told people to prepare for Armageddon and the second coming of Our Lord.

Governments announced total lockdowns and heavily armed soldiers were seen patrolling the streets of most major cities.

After almost an hour of global destruction and devastation, the technical glitch was fixed and WhatsApp was back up and running again. Everybody immediately went back to normal and stopped rioting and looting. Except in France for some reason where they’re still at it.
