Man’s Head Explodes After Seeing Christmas TV Ad In October

A 54 year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after his head exploded when he saw a Christmas ad on telly last night.

Brian McGrath from Tullamore had been watching The Six One News when the incident happened during a commercial break. His distraught wife Marie spoke to reporters outside the family home.

“I was in the other room when I heard him shouting several expletives at the telly. He sounded like he was getting very angry. I knew something was wrong when I went into him and noticed steam coming out of his ears. Then his face turned bright red like he was on fire. Before I could ask him what was wrong his head exploded. I mean it actually blew up. There was a loud bang and then brains everywhere.”

Remarkably Brian is still alive but in a critical condition in the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore . He’s currently on a life support machine as doctors try to reconstruct his head.

There have been calls for the government to clamp down on Christmas advertising so early in the year, especially when we haven’t even had Halloween yet.

Emergency legislation is expected to pass through Dáil Eireann this week that will see any radio stations playing Fairytale of New York before December stripped of their broadcasting licence and shut down indefinitely. The offending DJ will also receive an automatic 2 year prison sentence and be deported upon release.
