Manchester United in talks with Erik ten Hag

Manchester United have opened talks with Erik ten Hag with regards to him returning to the club as manager. The Dutchman was sacked in October last year with the club languishing in 14th place in the Premier League.
The fortunes of the team have dipped even further since Ten Hag’s dismissal and United are currently just above the relegation zone in 16th position. Many pundits described yesterday’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Ham as their worst all round performance in years.
The club’s head of sport Sir Jim Ratcliffe confirmed contact has been made with Ten Hag even though the Dutchman has been critical of Ratcliffe and the Glazers in the past and believes he was unfairly treated when he was sacked.
“We tried every other manager in the world and they all said no.” Ratcliffe told reporters. “And I mean every manager at every football club in the world. All of them. Name a manager. We tried him. Some of them just laughed and hung up on me. Erik has at least agreed to speak to us.”
We contacted Erik ten Hag and asked him if he’s really considering a return to Old Trafford.
He told us “Yes, but only if the board of directors and the owners kiss my hairy Dutch balls. Sir Jim gets to go first. These are my conditions.”
