United confident ahead of Liverpool clash “We could only lose by 2 or 3 goals”
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has said he is confident his players can put in a good performance against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and only lose by 2 or 3 goals.
United have suffered losses to Bournemouth, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United in their last 3 Premier League matches and go into the game in 14th place in the table.
Still, Amorim says he believes tomorrow’s trip to league leaders Liverpool could actually be the perfect game for his players to bounce back.
“These are good players. They have the quality and the ability to recover from the recent defeats and go to Liverpool on Sunday and only lose by two or three goals. Maybe four but that’s it. Or perhaps five. But no more than five. Six would still be acceptable.”
The United boss added that people who are writing his team off could end up looking silly.
“I think we could still surprise a lot of people. Just wait until the end of the season because when you see the final table, I am telling you now, Manchester United will not be relegated.”
