Ryan Tubridy charged with having no tax or insurance on his new Vespa

Ryan Tubridy was stopped at a Garda checkpoint in Dublin this morning while riding his new vespa and charged with having no tax or insurance.

The RTE star hosted his final Late Late Show last night and during the live broadcast, he was given a brand new red vespa as a parting gift by Bono and The Edge from U2.

Tubridy took the vespa out for a spin this morning and drove straight into a Garda checkpoint. He was overheard telling Gardaí “It’s okay, it’s a present from Bono!” but the officer in charge was having none of it.

Gardaí then seized the vehicle and Tubridy was forced to take the bus back to his house in Monkstown.

Within an hour, a brand new red vespa appeared for sale on Done Deal with an asking price of €1 million.
