Radio stations not playing our Eurovision song very much

Radio stations across the country have not been playing Ireland’s Eurovision song very much since Friday night’s Eurosong contest on the Late Late Show. In fact they haven’t been playing it at all.

Singer Bambie Thug, whose real name is Bambie Robinson, will represent Ireland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden with her song Doomsday Blue.

The singer, from Macroom in County Cork, comfortably beat the five other acts on Friday night, which included the usual mix of ballads, pop songs and boybands. In fact everything that has repeatedly failed to get past the semi-final stage year after year.

This year’s entry has divided opinion to say the least but one thing is certain, it was time to try someone different and you can’t get much more different than a screaming satanic bogwitch.

Meanwhile Dana, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland way back in 1970 with her song All Kinds of Everything, confirmed she was watching the Late Late Show on Friday night. We asked what her reaction was when she saw Bambi Thug’s performance.

“I threw holy water on my television and got the parish priest round to say 27 decades of the rosary.” she told us. “He then performed an Exorcism on the house and we burned the telly in the garden. I think it could win though.”
