Kneecap to play at Pope’s funeral

It has been announced today that Irish rappers Kneecap have been added to the list of performers who will play at the funeral of Pope Francis in Rome on Saturday.
Vatican insiders revealed that the Pontiff was a huge fan of the Belfast trio and had a particular fondness for their song ‘Get Your Brits Out’ which they said he would play constantly at full volume into the early hours of the morning.
Vatican press secretary Matteo Bruni told reporters at a press conference this morning “His Holiness was a huge hip-hop fan but in particular, Irish hip-hop. Not just recently either. He was there from the very beginning. He loved Scary Éire back in the day and had been following Rí-Rá’s solo career since the group’s demise. Kneecap combine two of Pope Francis’ greatest passions, rap music and Irish republicanism, so he was always going to be a big fan.”
Former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has asked for Kneecap not to be allowed to perform at the Pope’s funeral but the Vatican have said she can fuck off.
