Backlash continues over Sinead O’Connor waxwork

The backlash over the Sinead O’Connor waxwork is continuing today, even after it was removed from public view after just one day.

The Nothing Compares 2 U singer’s sculpture was universally panned and ridiculed, with Sinead’s brother John calling it “hideous” yesterday.

Paddy Delaney is the sculptor responsible for the waxwork and he admitted that it’s not his finest work.

“It’s the eyebrows, isn’t it? I went overboard on the eyebrows. I knew it! I probably should’ve looked at a photo of Sinead before I made the waxwork. Always look at a photo first. Wasn’t she a singer or something?”

However, despite all the backlash, Dublin wax museum director Padraig Dunning told us this morning that he has come up with a “genius” solution.

“Well, as you all know, Sinead converted to Islam in her later years so we’re just going to throw a burka over her head. You know the ones with absolutely nothing showing like they make women wear in Afghanistan. Sure there could anything under it and nobody would know. Why the hell didn’t I think of this earlier? We’re back in business folks!”
