Mascot Fred The Red Appointed Interim Manager At Manchester United
Mascot Fred the Red has been appointed interim manager of Manchester United after the sacking of Ole Gunner Solskjaer this morning.
United’s chief executive Ed Woodward told reporters it’s just a temporary position for now but if Fred the Red manages to turn things around and results improve he has as much chance as anyone else of being appointed manager on a permanent basis.
“Fred is United through and through and he loves this club. And of course like everyone else on planet Earth he has a better tactical knowledge of football than Ole Gunner Solskjaer. I’m talking about Fred the Red by the way and not Fred the player obviously. Fred the player is a useless prick.”
Ole Gunner Solskjaer meanwhile has been told there’s still a role for him at Manchester United if he agrees to do a straight swap with Fred the Red.
