Thousands line streets of Dublin for Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch’s victory parade
Tens of thousands of people are lining the streets of Dublin for Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch’s victory parade which takes place this afternoon.
Well known gangster Hutch was found not guilty of the murder of David Byrne, the Kinahan gang member who was shot dead at the Regency Hotel seven years ago.
The people of Dublin’s north inner city immediately organised a victory parade which Hutch agreed to take part in and plans are afoot to have Sheriff Street renamed Monk Boulevard.
The trial judges annihilated the State’s star witness Jonathan Dowdall as a self-serving liar and a gangster and completely dismissed his testimony. He now goes into the witness protection programme and gets to live the rest of his life like a schnook. However, with Ireland being so small he probably has about a week left to live before he gets whacked.
Of course if you’ve never seen the movie Goodfellas this article is going right over your head.
Next week the State will try to covict a man suspected of killing his wife. Their star witness is wife-killer Joe O’Reilly.
