Dublin trans woman marries themself
A Dublin trans woman has married themself in what is believed to be the first marriage of its kind in the history of the state.
George Dunne from Drimnagh said they’re proud to be the first person in Ireland to marry themself and told reporters they hope other people will now have the courage to do the same.
“The boring old days of people marrying other people are over. Get with the times guys. There is no-one in this world you will have more in common with than yourself so stop looking around for that special someone because they’re not out there. Just look in the mirror. That’s where you’ll find your true love.”
George said they believe the marriage will last a lifetime as they get on very well with themself.
“In over 36 years of being together we’ve never had an argument. Not one. We’re head over heels in love with us.”
We asked George if they’re going anywhere nice on honeymoon.
“Yes, we’re heading to Galway for a romantic weekend and I’ll tell you this for nothing, we can’t wait to get to bed tonight to give ourself a good seeing to. Self love is true love.”
