League of Ireland Giants Sligo Rovers Ease Past Scottish Minnows Motherwell

League of Ireland giants Sligo Rovers have brushed aside Scottish minnows Motherwell and progressed into the next round of the Europa Conference League.

Rovers were rarely troubled by the little known team from Scotland with the funny name, beating them 3-0 on aggregate. In all honesty Sligo looked like they could have scored seven or eight but showed great sportsmanship by not humiliating their starstruck visitors with a cricket score.

Motherwell for their part didn’t disgrace Scottish football and gave a decent display against far superior opposition. At one stage they even managed to pass the ball to each other several times in a row to the delight of their 300 travelling fans.

It is hoped Motherwell can bring what they learned tonight on their European adventure back to the Scottish Premier League and improve the overall standard of what is often refered to jokingly as a Farmer’s League. Good luck to them we say. Imagine watching that shite every week.
