Woman Traumatised After Not Posting A Photo Of Her Dinner On Facebook Last Night

A 32-year-old local woman has been left traumatised after not being able to post a photo of her dinner on Facebook last night.

Emma Bracken is recovering at the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore after suffering a major anxiety attack when she attempted to post the picture of her dinner and then realised she couldn’t.

“It was a good one too.” Emma told reporters this morning. “Sauasages, beans and chips. I bet it would have got me loads of likes.”

Recent statistics show that around 5% of all admissions to Ireland’s Accident and Emergency units are victims of Facebook Trauma and that number is rising steadily. Doctor Patrick Byrne is a Consultant Neurologist at Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital and he says it’s becoming a global epidemic.

“Being hospitalised with Facebook Trauma after failing to post something is quite rare but on the increase. Most victims have suffered a lack of likes or had a friend request ignored while others have sent drunken private messages to people they secretly fancy. Basically they’ve all made a cunt of themselves in one way or another.”

Meanwhile back in Tullamore Hospital, after hearing Facebook is up and running again Emma Bracken is sitting up in bed and with her smartphone in her hand.

“I’m going to Check-in on Facebook now in hospital and not say why. That should get me a few ‘U ok hun?’ replies. I’ve done that loads of times before but this is the first time I’ve actually really been here. Lol.”
