Dublin Zoo Baboons To Be Fitted With Underpants After Complaints Of Indecency

Dublin Zoo is set to fit underpants on all of its resident baboons after an increase in the number of complaints about indecency.

Paddy Mullins is in charge of the welfare and care of the baboons at the zoo and he told us what the complaints are about.

“It’s the big red arses mainly. People think they’re disgusting so we’ve been told to cover them up. Frankly I think it’s ridiculous. I play rugby and I see far worse in the changing rooms after a match.”

Moira Leavy from the group Concerned Parents Againt Filth started the campaign to have the baboons issued with underpants. She told us why.

“My children shouldn’t have to see that. If these baboons want to live in our country they should live by our rules. We don’t go around with our arses hanging out. It can’t be one rule for them and one for us. They should either cover up or go back to Africa.”

Dublin Zoo officials confirmed their baboon population will be wearing underpants from next week onwards.

It is unclear why Parents Againt Filth singled out baboons when chimpanzees not only have horrible looking arses too but also like throwing handfuls of shite at people.
