Government to start using that middle bit on O’Connell Street to accommodate migrants
The Government has confirmed that tents currently being erected down the middle of O’Connell Street in Dublin are for housing more migrants.
Minister for Integration Roderic O’Gorman told reporters this morning “As you all know we have ran out of room for asylum seekers so we’ve decided to take in thousands more asylum seekers.
“It doesn’t matter if we can accommodate them or whether or not they’re genuine refugees. That’s just how we do things here now and remember, if you point out any flaws or potential problems with this policy, you’re racist.”
The Minister said a list of locations for more tented facilities is currently being compiled and he hopes every county in Ireland will soon be covered in tents.
“We want every field in the country to look like it’s having it’s very own Glastonbury. Nothing but tents as far as the eye can see. We also intend to clear out Leitrim altogether and make the whole county just migrants in tents.”
140 men from Georgia will move into the O’Connell Street tents later this week. They’re currently on holiday in Amsterdam.
