Dublin’s Temple Bar rounds up price of a pint of Guinness to €50

The Temple Bar pub in Dublin has decided to round up the price of a pint of Guinness to €50.
The price of a pint in the famous pub has been increasing steadily over recent years and the new sky high price takes effect immediately.
We asked manager Mick Donlon how he can justify charging the people of Dublin such an extortionate price for a pint.
“The people of Dublin?” he replied. “We haven’t had an Irish customer since the 1990s. We get nothing but tourists in here and they’ll pay anything for a pint of Guinness because they’re basically gobshites. Especially yanks.
“Once the bar staff give them an auld ‘top of the morning’ and a ‘begorrah’ they’re happy and will stay and buy a few more. Pubs are closing down all over the place so survival of the fittest and all that. Plus they voted Trump in as President so f**k them.”
We asked Dubliners if they’d ever pay €50 for a pint of Guinness.
Brian Dempsey from Drimnagh told us “If anyone charged me €50 for a pint of Guinness I’d burn their pub down. With them in it. And their family. Then I’d bate the shite out of their burnt corpses. So no. I wouldn’t. Is what I’m saying.”
Pat O’Malley from Finglas said “Only if getting me hole off the barmaid was included in the price.”
Indeed. Temple Bar manager Mick Donlon added that they have also rounded up the price of a packet of Tayto to €30.
