New recycle bins installed at all Arrivals gates in Dublin Airport

A new line of recycle bins with a brand new design has been installed at all Arrivals gates in Dublin airport.

DAA managing director Jacob Kenny said the main reason for the change is the addition of the Passports bin.

“It’s a way of stopping new arrivals from eating their passports. Or just throwing them on the tarmac when they disembark. Or in the bathrooms. Frankly we’re sick of finding passports all over the airport so we might as well give these people somewhere to dump them.

We asked Jacob if there are any incoming flights in particular that see the most international protection applicants.

“No. Last week we had four Asian guys with cockney accents who flew in from Gatwick claiming to be Ukrainians. They said they had no passports. It turned out they had flushed them down the toilet and blocked our entire drainage system. If I had my way they’d be prosecuted but I’m told they’re now staying at the Dundrum House Golf and Leisure Resort. Lovely.”

The new bins are set to be installed in all Irish airports in the coming weeks.
