RTE fucked as entire population of Ireland decides to never pay licence fee ever again

RTE appears to be in big trouble today after the entire population of Ireland decided to never pay the national broadcaster’s licence fee ever again.

The move comes after revelations that the station paid Ryan Tubridy hundreds of thousands of euro more than it declared to the public and to the Oireachtas.

Ryan Tubridy himself issued a statement this morning, in which he said “This is a matter for RTE. I have no involvement in their internal accounting and I simply didn’t notice hundreds of thousands of euros going into my bank account. Let’s face it, when you’re as loaded as I am that’s an easy mistake to make. Lol.”

Recently RTE bosses have been constantly telling the government that their finances are in such a poor state that the licence fee needs to be increased substantially.

However, the people of Ireland have now decided that RTE can fuck off and that they’re not going to pay a single cent to stuff the pockets of its overpaid presenters ever again.

Ryan Tubridy did not host his radio show this morning. In fact there may be no way back for the presenter as station bosses feel his credibility and reputation have been irreparably damaged. A less controversial replacement is already being sought with Phillip Schofield the favourite to take over.
