Travel chaos, mayhem and devastation predicted as light sprinkling of snow forecast

Road users nationwide are being advised to never drive again and to burn their vehicles as a light sprinkling of snow is on the way.

A Status Yellow warning has been issued for tomorrow, meaning people in some areas might even have to put their heavy coats on when going to the shops.

Met Éireann said accumulations of snow have in the past caused people to slip and in some tragic cases, even fall over.

Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland, Met Éireann forecaster Gerry Molloy told listeners “Get out of the country now. Just go. No time to collect the kids, forget them. Just get on a flight with what you’re wearing and leave. May Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the baby Jesus and all the saints in heaven help us. We’re all doomed!”

Looking further ahead, things should clear up by Saturday with most parts of the country seeing a bright, sunny weekend.
