‘But We Like Being Buried Alive With Celebrities!’ Rats Tell Animal Rights Group

Rats have responded to animal rights groups complaining about their mistreatment on TV show ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!’ by telling them to mind their own business and saying they actually love being on the show.

ITV bosses have come under fire over the use of animals in the programme, particularly during trials but one rat we spoke to who regularly takes part in the show said people have got it all wrong.

“Mistreatment my arse! It’s the highlight of my year. The best thing that ever happened to me. Have you seen the viewing figures for that show? I’m a huge star in the rat community. The men rats want to be me and the women rats want to be with me. It’s changed my life. Please tell the RSPCA to piss off and leave us alone.”

Another rat we spoke to had the same message for the animal rights activists.

“I got buried underground with Myleene Klaas one year and spent ten glorious minutes crawling all over her. Animal cruelty? It was the greatest day of my life. We don’t need saving thank you very much. We’re fine. Go save an endangered turtle. Bloody do-gooders.”

Animal rights groups have called on people to show support for their cause by boycotting the show. People responded by watching it in their millions and it’s become the most watched programme of the year on ITV. I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here continues tonight at 9 on ITV1.
