Russian TV Channel Nyetflix Releases New Series ‘Chernobyl: It Wasn’t That Bad’

Russian TV Channel Nyetflix has just released a brand new series called Chernobyl: It Wasn’t That Bad.’ The show is seen as a response to the hugely successful HBO series ‘Chernobyl’ which tells the story of the catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986. Russian authorities however say the five-part series is anti-Russian propaganda and claim that what actually happened really wasn’t that bad.

Russian Foreign Minister Viktor Smirnoff said “We don’t see why the west is making such a big deal over a chimney fire. Our version of events tells the story of what really happened that day. There was a fire, the firemen put it out and then everybody had a lovely picnic. The end.”

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a joint consortium of the United Nations and the governments of Ukraine and Belarus put the number of deaths due to the disaster at between 4,000 and 10,000 people (environmental groups put the number much higher). Mr. Smirnoff however claims that’s a lie.

“More anti-Russian propaganda. Honestly what’s wrong with you people? Next you’ll be claiming we were responsible for Trump getting elected because we want the World to laugh at America because he’s a moron ….. okay, we did that, lol, but the other stuff isn’t true.”

Nyetflix say their next big release ‘Pearl Harbour: The Day America Attacked Itself’ will be out early next year.
