Poll to find France’s ‘Most Popular Ruler Ever’ sees Macron finish behind Hitler

A poll carried out in France to find the country’s most popular ruler of all time has seen current President Emmanuel Macron finish behind Adolf Hitler.

There have been ongoing daily riots in Paris and beyond recently against Macron’s plans to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64. The despised President even chose to push through the reform without the usual parliamentary vote.

Macron thought he had reached rock bottom in the popularity stakes while watching the violent protests unfold on his TV but this new poll has revealed that he is actually seen by his own people as a worse human being than Adolf Hitler.

Germany attacked and quickly defeated France at the start of the second World War and Hitler himself visited Paris shortly after the French surrendered. Life under the Nazis was brutal with regular beatings and murders as well as constant bombings and widespread starvation.

However, even that wasn’t enough to prevent Macron from coming last in the poll. Philippe Ledoux was a young boy when German tanks rolled into Paris and still remembers life under Nazi occupation.

“It was terrible but what do you expect? They were Nazis. This prick is French and he’s supposed to be our President. He really has no redeeming features whatsoever. I can’t think of one positive thing to say about him. At least Hitler had a funny moustache.”
