Lucky England Just About Beat Panama in Close World Cup Encounter

Lady luck was with England yesterday as they just about managed to scrape past a Panama side who can consider themselves very hard done by. Two dodgy penalty decisions by the referee gifted England the three points in a game that up until then had been completely dominated by Panama. After England captain Harry Kane netted the second penalty the Panama players decided not to play the rest of the game in protest at the referee’s shocking performance and allowed England to score a few more.

Kane completed his hatrick when the ball hit the back of his heel and bounced over the goalkeeper’s head. Jesse Lingard scored a screamer but he plays for Manchester United so the England fans didn’t celebrate that one too much because that’s the mentality of those people. Some other fella scored two easy headers.

With 78 minutes left on the clock Panama manager Hernan Gomez signalled to his players to score a goal just to show the world they could have won the game if they wanted to and that’s exactly what they did when Felipe Baloy scored by far the best goal of the game.

Next up for England is Belgium who are also already through to the knock-out stages. The Belgian manager has said he’ll be giving some of his fringe players a run out in that game – in other words his shite players – so England are probably going to win that one too the jammy bastards.

Meanwhile the draw for the next European Championship qualifiers was made last night in Zurich and England will be joined in Group D by San Marino, Lichtenstein, Lapland and the Isle of Man.
