Ginger badly burnt after taking 30 second walk from plane to terminal building in Lanzarote

An Irish ginger has been badly sunburnt after walking from his plane to the terminal building in Lanzarote Airport.

24 year-old Brian McLaughlin from Cabra in Dublin had just landed in the popular holiday destination when he made the 30 second walk with no hat or sunscreen on.

Local authorities say it’s not the first incident of this kind to happen to a ginger in Lanzarote this year. Only last month, 21 year-old English ginger George Blakely’s head suddenly caught fire after he opened the window of his taxi.

Mayor of Lanzarote Oswaldo Garcia has the following advice for any gingers planning to visit the Island.

“Upon arrival in Lanzarote, we ask all our ginger visitors to wear a hooded garment as well as gloves and a balaclava while disembarking the aircraft. Only after you are safely in your hotel room or apartment should these be removed. We then ask that you stay in your room for the entire duration of your holiday and don’t come out until it’s time for you to go home.”

Authorities say there are currently 127 gingers holidaying in Lanzarote. They know this because all of them are in hospital with sunstroke.
