New British PM: “I’ll Fly To Dublin Next Week To Meet The Teashop”

Incoming British Prime Minister Liz Truss has said she will fly to Dubin next week for a private meeting with Taoiseach Micheál Martin to discuss the Northern Ireland protocol. Truss was ridiculed and mocked recently after she called the Fianna Fáil leader the “tea-sock” during an interview but today she said she’s learned her lesson.

“I believe I made a mistake recently and refered to the Irish Prime Minister as the tea-sock. How embarrassing. I now know that it’s actually the teashop and I promise not to get it wrong in future.”

Meanwhile in Brussels the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said she believes the strong relationship between the EU and the UK will continue regardless of who becomes the new British Prime Minister.

“Electing a new Prime Minister is an internal matter for the United Kingdom and I can assure you we have no preference with regards to who becomes the new leader. No matter who takes over from Boris Johnson today, we will continue to hate the selfish bastards for leaving us. Cunts!”
